Minor Program Change

We want to inform you about a minor change in the program of the ESWC2012 due to organizing reasons:

The paper presentations of Machine Learning I (Tuesday, May 29, 16:00-17:30) and Machine Learning II (Thursday, May 31, 15:45-17:15) have been switched.

The EU Project networking track

In the EU Project networking track of the ESWC2012, 12 European projects will present themselves and what they can offer other projects and researchers. Join in to interact with these projects!
The session will take place on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 at 19:00-21:00 during the Posters and Demos session in the Beach Restaurant.

Keynote: Márta Nagy-Rothengass

We are very happy to welcome Márta Nagy-Rothengass, Head of the Unit "Technologies for Information Management" of the European Commission, as keynote speaker and panelist at this year's ESWC. In her keynote on Wednesday, May 30th (14:00-15:30) she will talk about the "Data Value Chain in Europe". Get all information on the keynotes and the panel!

Open Discussion

There will also be a possibility to ask your questions! An open discussion with Márta and her team will take place on Thursday May 31st at 11:00-12:30 in room Orpheas. Her Unit manages and co-funds research and development projects on innovative ICT technologies dealing with creation of intelligent digital objects and knowledge management, supporting knowledge exchange and "semantic web". Main focus of her work is effective and efficient management of extremely large scale data including Open Data and  establishment of open data portals.

Call for EU Project Networking Track

The EU project networking track of the ESWC2012 will provide an opportunity for EU funded R&D projects which deal with semantic technologies to present their current results and future plans and goals in the informal setting of the conference posters & demos session. The deadline for submissions is April 27th, 2012 (23:59 Hawaii Time).
